Today at my weather station here in West Corners New York. the wind gusted to 31 mph at approximately 230PM EDT. Some tree branches came down in my yard, although nothing more as these kinds of winds are not enough to cause trees to topple, however the wind rarely even exceeds 20mph here in the valley, so this was a bit of a rare occurance. Up on the Lake Ontario at Oswego however, my years of going there, I was used to seeing winds exceeding 60mph frequently.
