Strong winds with cold front, and much colder temps later Monday...
The coldest air of the season will be arriving just in time for the last week of September. Rain will spread out ahead of the cold front mid morning on Monday, with temps reaching an early high of 65. Rain will continue til early afternoon, with south winds of 15 to 25 mph with higher gusts to 35mph. After about 1 or 2PM, the cold front will approach, with a brief period of heavy rain and westerly winds which could gust upwards of 50mph, before skies turn more sunny during the afternoon. Behind the cold front, winds will continue to be very gusty, northwesterly winds of 25 to 40mph with higher gusts across the ridgetops of 50mph. Temps will continue to fall through the 50s through 4PM Monday, then through the 40s through sunset on Monday as cold high pressure builds in. THe rest of the week will struggle to ever reach 60 again, in fact the highs the rest of the week should stay below 60 degrees.
